Find out more about tenant involvement below:

By getting involved as a CCHA tenant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Give CCHA your views on the services you receive
  • Influence decisions to improve services that are important to you
  • Work with us to make changes in your community
  • Gain new skills and share knowledge

Here’s what our involved tenants said:

It’s essential to have tenants actively involved in the decision-making process. Quality tenant involvement, with a focus on inclusion and diversity is vital for continuous improvement and fairness. Making sure that the true lived experience of tenants is reflected across all of Cardiff Community Housing Associations services. The group brings people together from a wide range of backgrounds each offering unique perspectives. As an involved tenant I have had the opportunity to attend the National Tenant Engagement Conference for Wales in Llandrindod Wells, as well as the People and Homes Conference in Cardiff. Being an involved tenant is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an inclusive group where you genuinely feel valued, welcomed, and heard. It’s empowering to know that your ideas and suggestions can help shape better services for everyone in their homes and communities.

Angell, Tenant Influence Panel

I like to attend the sessions at Cardiff Community Housing Association to listen, watch and learn. I really enjoy learning about new housing developments, but more importantly making sure we are protecting and looking at; our environment, wildlife, nature and people where possible.

Jo, Green Group

Getting involved has truly given me a sense of purpose. It’s more than just taking part; it’s about making a positive difference and knowing my voice and opinions matter. Being part of something like Tenant Voice makes me feel like a valued member of a supportive community. Through Tenant Voice, I’ve had the chance to meet new people, feel less isolated and take part in opportunities I never imagined. One of the most rewarding parts is seeing a real impact on people, communities and the services we all rely on. It’s not just about speaking up – it’s about making sure we all have the best possible support and opportunities.

Sara, Homes and Estates Group

It’s important for me to check and challenge – making sure we hold CCHA to account making sure they deliver great services. It’s important to work together to make sure homes are safe and the residents are happy and feel part of a community.

I have supported developing a social safe space within our older living scheme, helping to transform the communal room into a welcoming hub for connection. This initiative has been life changing for residents, especially post -covid, by reducing isolation and fostering a strong sense of community. We are a strong community and that’s what we do.
