We are delighted to see more tenants move into their new homes at Longwood Grange, as the site continues to take shape in Lisvane.
Longwood Grange will see 42 new good quality, affordable homes being built in total, in partnership with Bellway Homes as part of a Section 106 agreement. The project started in 2022, with thirteen new homes completed and let by the end of December 2022.
January 2024 will see a further fifteen new homes let, with another six then ready towards the end of March.
The final phase is due to complete in 2026.
Caitlyn will be moving into her new home with her one-year-old and is looking forward to the fresh start. She said:
“I’ve been living in temporary accommodation since the baby was born, so I’m really excited to be moving in this month. This will be a new start for us, and I can’t wait to bring my son up in a home that isn’t too far from family, with plenty of space to grow and play.”
Isra and Mustafa Awaad are also keen to move to their new one-bedroom home. Isra said:
“We’ve been in temporary accommodation for the last nine months, which hasn’t been great. We have friends in the area and it’s in such a lovely location. We just can’t wait to move in and make our home together.”
One of the site’s newest tenants, who moved into her new home in June 2022 said:
“I had been living in temporary accommodation for a little while with my two boys when I got a call from CCHA in June 2022 to say they had a property available for me. The process was quick and by July I had moved in!
“Longwood Grange is such a lovely and quiet place to live, and the neighbours are all really friendly. The kids have been able to stay in the same school and now have a little garden to play in too. The house stays lovely and warm in the winter, so I haven’t been hit with big bills trying to keep it warm which is a bonus.”
